Training Coordinator

FLSA Status:   Non-Exempt Reports To:  Human Resources Manager

Under the direction of the HR Manager, the Training Coordinator will evaluate, create, develop, and initiate training throughout the Company ensuring that our ongoing training and development of the workforce supports our business and customer needs.  This position will also assist with ongoing recruiting efforts aimed at maintaining a talent pipeline with skilled employees who are ready to join our Team.


  • Collaborate with Production Leadership to identify skills gaps and/or obstacles that are keeping us from meeting our production goals and develop training plans to close our skills gaps.
  • Collaborate with the Leadership Team in order to determine future needs of the organization and assist with developing talent to meet those future needs.
  • Support and serve our employees with their ongoing employee development.
  • Welcome all new employees to the organization, ensuring they have all that they need to be successful.
  • Conduct employee on-boarding such as completing new hire paperwork, including introducing employees to the organizational culture, policies and procedures.
  • Assist with the development, implementation, administration, and communication of our employee training and talent development program.
  • Collaborate with Production Leadership to schedule employee training while also balancing production needs.
  • Communicate training requirements and collaborate with leadership to ensure training is completed in a timely manner.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and make changes as needed to ensure the desired training results are being met.
  • Develop and maintain a train the trainer standard training program using the Training Within Industry (TWI) methodology
  • Utilize sourcing tools and techniques such as tracking applicant flow using the ERP system and candidate screening, in order to develop relationships and to build a candidate pipeline for current and future talent needs.
  • Attend various events such as career fairs to source and recruit for potential candidates to join our Team.
  • Provide input with the performance management review process, specifically during an employee’s first year of employment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by Human Resources Manager.


  • Associates Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Development, or work related combination of both education and manufacturing experience
  • One to three years related experience, manufacturing environment preferred
  • A minimum of one year of experience developing, leading, and/or training others
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Proven organizational skills
  • Strong desire to collaborate with and be part of a Team
  • Advanced computer proficiency with MS Office, PowerPoint and Prezi
  • Training Within Industry Job Relations and/or Job Instructions 10 hour certificate preferred


While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand for long periods of time; walk, handle tools, or controls; communicate and listen (hear). The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move parts, reports, files, office supplies, etc. weighing up to 40 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.  Work is performed primarily in an office environment with minimal exposure to injury when engaged in production activities. Use a computer and other standard office equipment on a regular, daily basis.

Process Technician

Nicolet Plastics LLC – Green Bay, Wisconsin Area


Are you interested in a fast-paced, cross-functional, team-based operation geared for Quick Response Manufacturing? As a member of the NPI team, you will be integral with troubleshooting and root cause analysis, as well as coaching and cross-training team members. You’ll be actively responsible for process monitoring, documentation, and mold qualification.


Essential Functions Statement(s)

  • Ensure manufacture of the correct part by referencing the computerized production schedule.
  • Utilize set-up binder for press set-up to ensure accuracy.
  • Perform press start-ups by loading/unloading molds, setting press and auxiliary equipment controls accurately.
  • Purge material from press in timely fashion, following purge process, and ensuring safe working environment
  • Ensure material readiness through material qualification tests.
  • Enhance press operations, and maximize throughput by documenting process changes.
  • Maintain part quality, part specifications and machine efficiencies by conferring with Shift Supervisor, Production and Quality team members.
  • Perform reactive maintenance when necessary to ensure part quality, and an efficient process.
  • Communicate production activities with prior shift and oncoming shift team members.
